Does Lemon Water Actually Help You Lose Weight?

You may have seen this touted as the quickest and simplest method to lose weight by your go-to wellness celebrity or fake health website.

Lemons don't cost much, and you're already (ideally) drinking water every day. It's almost too good to be true, so what do the experts have to say about it?

Simplify it for me. Let's start with the H2O side of things. The human body cannot operate properly without water.

"Water is essential to human survival since it makes up between 55 and 60 percent of our body weight.

SETFORSET, "water is essential for many bodily functions, including temperature regulation, waste elimination (sweat and feces), joint lubrication and cushioning, and nutrient delivery to cells."

Some animal research suggests that increasing water intake may aid in weight reduction by increasing metabolic rate.

"This causes the energy-generating mitochondria to work better, resulting in more fat being burned," he explains. Nonetheless, bear in mind.

Animal studies have indicated that lemon extract may increase insulin sensitivity, which may aid in weight reduction.

So, what do you get if you combine the two? What can (and can't) be done with lemon water is explored in detail below.
